Reading the site

Pinot Oregon is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Filters and searches run in your browser; the choices you make live in the page address and nowhere else.

The map on a winery page loads only when you ask for it. The map tiles then come from a third-party tile service, which sees your IP address like any web server you connect to. Links to Google Maps and Apple Maps take you to those services under their own policies.

Sending us a correction or an update

"Suggest a correction" opens your own email program. The "Update this listing" form sends what you type, your name, your role, your email address, and any photos you attach, in one email to corrections@pinotoregon.com. That is the only place it goes. The site stores none of it, and no copy is kept by the form itself.

We use what you send only to update the listing and to reply to you. If you tick the box about featured listings, we may email you once about that. We do not sell or share submissions with anyone.

Photos you send are published only after you confirm you hold the rights and give permission, and each published photo records who supplied it and when.

Spam protection

The form uses a hidden field and a timing check that run entirely on our side, with no tracking. If a stricter check is ever switched on, it will be Cloudflare Turnstile, which does not use cookies to follow you across sites.
